Words and Wisdom for Leaders (That Includes YOU)

There are many emotions being felt after a rather unique and troubling event at the Capitol. It can be confusing to figure out where to go for some semblance of wisdom and peace as a way of moving forward. Many of us at LifeChurch Canton have been encouraged by the ongoing wisdom and leadership of one Carey Nieuwhof. He is a pastor in Canada and a leadership expert for leaders worldwide.

He believes all of us have an opportunity to lead in our own ways whether we lead a church, an organization, a company, or a family. More specifically, as followers of Jesus, we are encouraged to lead in a way that imitates Jesus in response to a crises such as this. How we lead matters. What we do with our anger matters.

Seriously, take the time to check out this blogpost written by Nieuwhof. I couldn't have said it better. He gives some great action steps toward the end.

Spoiler alert, #1 is my favorite!

Ask what your words will do before you speak them (or write them).

Also, remember that in everything, pray. We are in a series called 21 Days of Prayer. I hope that you will join us as we commit our time for the entire month of January to prayer.

Have a prayer request? Let us know what it is!
